Node Contextual Menu | Alignment

The functions grouped under Alignment allow getting a local layout on the selected nodes only.

Updated Feature: Horizontal Distribution

This feature evenly distributes the nodes horizontally. As of version 9.0, the original order of the node is kept, i.e. is not changed to the alphabetic order any more.

Updated Feature: Vertical Distribution

This feature evenly distributes the nodes vertically. As of version 9.0, the original order of the node is kept.

New Feature: Temporal Index Distribution

This feature creates layers based on the Temporal Indices of the selected nodes and then evenly distributes these nodes horizontally in each layer. Unlike the Temporal Index Layout algorithm, the order of the nodes in each layer is the original one and not the alphabetical order.

Example

Let's illustrate the difference between the Temporal Index Layout algorithm and the Temporal Index Distribution algorithm (when all the nodes are selected).
